My photo a day blog

Keyboard

High Resolution

This week’s theme: Tools. I’m really hoping that this inspires at least some creativity in me :)

I didn’t have much time today, so I had to make do with a quick shot in my room. Since it’s Dussera in a few days, my mother is bringing out the lights and dolls and other fun stuff. I borrowed one of the lights and decided to take a photo of one of the most important tools in my toolkit (well fine, backpack): my keyboard.

Yellow and Red Canna

This is the last one for Autumn, and the last one from my Lalbagh shoot. It’s a mixed yellow and red canna. Looking forward to the next theme!

Blue Flowers

This is another shot from my trip to Lalbagh yesterday. I don’t know what these are, unfortunately. There were no boards nearby.

Topiary

High Resolution

I went to Lalbagh this morning with my father for a morning walk. I took my camera with me and took a ton of photos. This one is an elephant from the Topiary Garden.

I have faint memories of going to Lalbagh with family as a kid and seeing the Topiary Garden1. I find it comforting that there’s at least one part of Bangalore that hasn’t changed much since I was a kid. Hopefully it stays this way for a long time to come.

  1. Of course, I had no idea it was called the Topiary Garden then – that’s a word I learned today.

More Flowers

High Resolution

We had this event called “Paksha” at home today. It’s when we mourn the deaths of the 3 generations of people that came before my father who are no longer with us. For one reason or another, this is often the only time when a large part of the family gathers at one place. It’s always nice to see everyone. As a result, things were a little hectic around the house and I didn’t really have a chance to take any photos. So here’s a generic photo of more flowers on a plant that I took the other day.
