These are my writing tools of choice at the moment. On the left is a Bamboo Paper Stylus. On top is a Sheaffer roller ball pen that was a graduation gift from my parents. On the right is a Lamy fountain pen (one of my favorite fountain pens). On the bottom is a Cross ball point pen that my mother got me for my birthday last year after she heard me lamenting that I rarely had an opportunity to use a fountain pen (after having just acquired the Lamy). In the middle is a Cosmonaut.
Balls
These have once again become awesome debugging tools (I’m all out of ideas for this week’s theme, sigh). I had forgotten just how much I used to like throwing a ball up in the air or at a wall repeatedly while thinking about a problem. I don’t know why it works, but tossing a ball around makes me think a lot more clearly.
Camera
This is the first iPhone photo on this blog. It’s mostly because I totally forgot to shoot a photo today until just now, and I figured my camera is now one of the most fun tools I use these days.
War
This is me at war. With the mosquitos. They may have won every battle so far, but they will not win the war!
I’m using one of the most valuable weapons in my arsenal (I’m going to assume that weapons are tools):
It’s an electric racquet. You electrify it (by pressing a button on the handle), and take a swing at mosquitos. If you make contact, they get electrocuted and die. Anyone want to help me make Call of Duty: Modern Urban Mosquito Warfare?
Screwdrivers
This set of screwdrivers (is that even what you call these?) has been with me for over 5 years, I think. Surprisingly, it’s the only set of tools I own other than my little biking multitool that’s currently on a ship somewhere.
